are called pre-nominals and connect directly to a noun without any particles between the two
Some useful nouns:
猫 neko – cat
犬 inu – dog
ビール Biiru – Beer

Not Very useful Japanese but cool if you knew it
バッタモン Battamon
バッタ Batta – Also means grasshopper.
