GenkiRadio.com is a husband and wife team who record podcasts about Japan.  He, ShibataBread, is Japanese.  And she, Mrs. ShibataBread, is of German and Dutch descent.  They were married not too long ago but have known each other for just over a decade.  When you add the number of years that they have lived in Japan, it comes to about 20 or so.  Mr. ShibataBread is fluent in Japanese while his wife brags that she passed 3-kyu a few years back.  None of these traits make them experts on the country at all.

GenkiRadio.com was born at ShibataBread.com where the podcast used to live.  In 2011, ShibataBread decided to devote an entirely new website to the podcast.  So now the podcast has a new home.

But wait! Their mission for GenkiRadio isn’t just to convince you to listen to their rambling podcast.  Since you will eventually tire of their voices (and constant fighting), they have decided to add this cool place called Genki Park for everyone to share things about Japan.   So send your letters, essays, tweets, videos, photos via Genki Park Submission Form and they’ll get organized into a compilation of Genki Park Entries for others to enjoy.

The ShibataBread’s hope you like the podcast and they invite you to submit ANYTHING to add to the website.  They will try not to censor submissions, but they just need to make sure it’s about Japan and not…France or Russia or Madagascar. (And please, there’s nothing wrong with these countries. I love wine, Vodka, and toaka gasy.)
